Admissions Timeline for 2022-23

This year the class of 2027 admissions process lasts until the end of April 28th.

“Applications” will be open from Monday, October 24th at 4 PM to Friday, November 18th at 4 PM. Note that this initial application is merely a “registration” form that will allow you to take the Student Portrait Sheet (SPS) and Problem Solving Essay (PSE) in February. In this application, your school liaison (typically a counselor at the middle school) needs to approve math requirements, so the last day to submit an application is on Wednesday, November 16th (4 PM), providing the liaison two days to check the requirements. Keep in mind that TJHSST does not accept late applications. As the time approaches, we will keep you up-to-date with each component of the admissions process.

TJTestPrep recommends submitting your initial “application” as early as possible after it opens. Do not wait until the last day to submit your application!

This year, the SPS and PSE Writing administration will be on Saturday, February 4th at 8:00 AM. This is most likely in person, at a local testing center (typically a nearby middle school). Should there be any Accommodations or Make-Ups due to personal reasons, the assessments will be completed on Friday, February 10th at 8:00 AM. Should there be inclement weather, the two assessments will be administered on Saturday, February 11th at 8:00 AM.

Finally, after the TJ admissions officers examine all applications, the final results will be released on Friday, April 28, or earlier.

Please note that in prior years, admissions timelines have been delayed due to COVID and rulings from the Court System. That is once again a possibility this year to keep in mind.
